West Brom’s preparations ramp up ahead of a crucial bank holiday double-header as manager James Morrison welcomes most of his squad back to Albion’s training base, despite a few players being away on international duty.

Wrexham visit The Hawthorns on Friday, followed by a trip to relegation rivals Blackburn Rovers FC on Monday, making this a key period for Albion.

Seen in action: West Brom’s £3.3m signing trains with a returning winger, while a vital player stays with the squad.

Among the returning faces was injury-hit £3.3m signing Tammer Bany, who was pictured training alongside teammates. The midfielder, who has had limited appearances since joining from Rangers FC over a year ago, had been sidelined earlier this season but is gradually working back to full fitness. He appeared on Instagram training with Karlan Grant, who himself is nearing a mid-April return after being out since the Derby draw.

Surprisingly, Callum Styles has also stayed at Albion despite being called up to the Hungary squad, which recently beat Slovenia and faces Greece tonight. His presence strengthens Morrison’s squad ahead of what could be a pivotal set of fixtures, with Albion four points clear of the relegation zone following two wins and two draws in recent weeks.
