After spending the last six years with the Memphis Grizzlies, Ja Morant has earned a reputation as one of the league’s most intriguing players.
Morant will be taking a significant break from basketball for an extended period of time while he gets ready for another season in the NBA.
Nike and Morant are teaming up for the “Make Them Watch Tour.” “Heard they were calling 12,” Nike Basketball posted. “On the way…The Make Them Watch Tour.”
In the offseason, following the launch of his newest signature shoe, the “Nike Ja 3,” Morant will travel across Asia and the United States to meet fans.
From July 18th through the 19th, Morant will make his tour debut at the EYBL Peach Jam Classic. Nike presents the Peach Jam, an AAU basketball tournament that features top high school players.
When Morant returns from Peach Jam on July 22, he will be in New York. He will thereafter embark on an Asian tour, with a visit in China scheduled from July 25th to the 30th.
This will be followed by a trip to Tokyo on July 31 and he caps off his tour in Manila on August 2, before returning to Memphis to prepare for the 2025-26 season.
Ja Morant averaged 23.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 7.3 assists per game in his sixth season with the Memphis Grizzlies.
Under Morant’s leadership, the Grizzlies made it to the playoffs, but they were eliminated in the first round by the eventual NBA champions, the Oklahoma City Thunder.
