What Sean Dyche said to Everton star Dominic Calvert-Lewin related to
Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s ability and consistency for Everton this season have already been talked over by Sean Dyche.
Despite playing all nine Premier League games for Everton, the striker has only scored two goals so far this season.
In interviews with the media, as reported by The Mirror on October 31, Dyche gave his opinion on Calvert-Lewin’s recent play.
“He’s putting a lot of effort into his game and trying to find that streak that helped him score back then.” After not scoring often for a while, he said, “getting back in that zone can come.”
“Managers talk about it all the time: setting a goal can get things going when you’re in the right place and hitting it.”
“We talked about performances, how consistent they were, and how to find it.” Consistently playing well and moving hard will lead to goals.
Dom Calvert-Lewin needs to stay at Goodison Park for longer so that Everton can keep him.
A big topic of conversation in Everton’s camp this season has been Calvert-Lewin’s future.
This striker’s contract is up at the end of the season. The Toffees may have players like Beto and Armando Broja who can fill in at number nine, but neither is likely to have as much of an effect on the team as the Englishman.
According to Calvert-Lewin, he wants to become Everton’s all-time top Premier League goal. The fact that he has already talked to the club about extending his stay shows where his heart is.
Because he’s helped the club so much in his eight years on Merseyside, most fans think that extending his stay at Goodison Park is the best thing to do.
Of course, the attacker has a lot of time to decide what he wants to do since his contract doesn’t end for another few months.
The fact that so many teams are already interested in hiring him [TEAMtalk, 24 October] means that nothing is official yet.
