The good winger won’t be playing for West Ham in their next Premier League games.

After getting sent off on Saturday, Manchester United, Nottingham Forest, and Everton will not have to worry about West Ham forward Mohammed Kudus’s speed and power in upcoming Premier League games.

Even though the Hammers showed signs of life before the international break with a draw against Brentford and a win over Ipswich Town, they had a terrible time at Tottenham Hotspur. Julen Lopetegui’s team played well in the first half and tied the game at 1-1 at halftime. However, they gave up in the second half and lost 4-1.

Kudus, who plays for Ghana, scored the first goal for West Ham, but the forward lost his temper in the second half. With only minutes left in the game, the winger seemed to kick Spurs defender Micky van de Ven and then pushed several other players, which was called “stupid.”

Referee Andrew Madley gave Kudus a yellow card, but VAR sent the official to the screen and quickly changed his mind, giving him a straight red. Kudus joined West Ham for £38 million in August 2023. “The referee gave Kudus a yellow card,” the Premier League Match Center account on social media site X said. The VAR said that what he did was aggressive and suggested that the play be reviewed on the field. The judge then turned the yellow card into a red one.

Kudus has scored two goals in his last two Premier League games, but he will miss the trip to Manchester United, the game at Everton, and the game at Nottingham Forest because he got a straight red card.

“I didn’t see the action back on TV, but I think that if the referee looked at it and decided that it was a red card, then I cannot have any doubts,” Lopetegui said about the red card after the game.

“Maybe it is another point to improve, when we suffer in the bad moments we keep calm and fight to the end as a team.”
