UNBELIEVABLE: Premier League club player set to exit the club after spending barely few weeks with the club.

After only a few weeks at Aston Villa after leaving Juventus, Samuel Iling-Junior appears certain to make an instant return to Serie A.

As part of the agreement that saw Douglas Luiz join Juventus, the England youth international went to Villa Park at the beginning of July; nevertheless, the transactions were recorded separately for accounting purposes.

However, Iling-Junior has only made one appearance for his new team, participating in a pre-season friendly versus Walsall.

He did not make the squad for their 2024–25 Premier League start against West Ham United last weekend, and he was not used as a substitute in their friendly match against Borussia Dortmund earlier in August.

Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Bologna and Aston Villa have agreed for Bologna to sign Iling-Junior for a season-long loan.

The Red and Blues want to bolster their strength and depth after their unexpected Champions League qualification.

Iling-Junior, who is only 20 years old, has already made 45 appearances for Juventus in all competitions, including 36 in Serie A. This gives him a great deal of experience.

The London-born player, who can play left wing-back as well as either flank, will also provide Bologna with excellent versatility.

Iling-Junior’s loan move to Bologna isn’t believed to have a permanent option, as Aston Villa see the young player as an important component of their future.
