Transfer negotiations advance between Man United and Bayern Munich over Matthijs de Ligt
Manchester United and Bayern Munich are currently in discussions regarding the prospective transfer of central defender Matthijs de Ligt. While we have yet to establish a definitive price or reach an agreement regarding the Netherlands international, we are making significant progress in this regard.
De Ligt is eager to relocate, and as a result, it is highly probable that it will occur. However, there is still some work to be done on the agreement.
Here is the most recent information, as reported by Florian Plettenberg, a transfer expert for Sky Sports Germany. Bayern’s reported asking price of approximately €50 million is likely to be difficult for United to reach, given the budget constraints they are expected to face in the transfer window. Unless they initiate significant sales, that is.
Initially, United’s central defence was quite vulnerable; however, the departure of Raphael Varane, Victor Lindelof, and Harry Maguire has rendered them significantly less reliable.
United is also interested in Jarrad Branthwaite; however, Everton’s asking price is excessive. De Ligt and Branthwaite are both being considered for potential signings by United; however, this does not appear to be financially feasible at this time.
