TRANSFER: Aston Villa are willing to pay whooping sum of £250k for for ace Brazilian forward
Gabi Nunes, a forward for Levante and a Brazil international, has been acquired by Aston Villa.
In order to sign the 27-year-old, they would be required to activate a release clause worth 300,000 euros (£250,000).
Nunes, who has 22 caps for Brazil, was a member of the team that secured a silver medal at the Olympic Games in Paris.
Villa has already signed seven players this summer and is making significant investments in the wake of the appointment of new manager Robert de Pauw.
It would be a declaration of their intention to challenge the traditional top four of the WSL, which are Chelsea, Manchester City, Arsenal, and Manchester United, if they were to recruit Nunes.
Nunes’ transfer to Villa would constitute a club record fee and would rank among the most significant transfers in the history of the WSL.
In 2023, Jill Roord joined Manchester City for a club record fee in excess of £300,000, while Chelsea’s acquisition of Mayra Ramirez for £384,000 continues to hold the British record.
