Tottenham Hotspur initiate contacts with Real Madrid regarding sensational midfielder as per reports

A request for ambidextrous midfielder Brahim Diaz from Tottenham Hotspur has been rejected by Real Madrid, according to reports.

Spurs are currently in search of midfield reinforcements this summer as Ange Postecoglou endeavours to enhance his roster. Spurs had a remarkable start to the previous season, but they ultimately fell to fifth place and were compelled to accept a berth in the Europa League.

Brahim is a player that Spurs are interested in, as reported by Foot Mercato. The club has reached out to Madrid to determine the necessary steps to finalise a deal.

Nevertheless, Madrid promptly informed Spurs and fellow suitors Roma that Brahim is not available for purchase this summer.

Brahim has also persuaded club officials that he will fill a valuable position in the squad next season, and manager Carlo Ancelotti is reputed to be an enormous fan of the player.

Last season, Brahim, 24, made 44 appearances across all competitions, with precisely half of them being as a starter.

Last season, the former Manchester City prodigy primarily assisted in the distinctive striker position in Madrid’s squad, providing coverage for both Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo. However, there have been concerns regarding his significance in a squad that has recruited Kylian Mbappe and Endrick this summer.

However, Madrid is adamant that Brahim will have a role to perform next season, which has compelled Spurs to pursue other options.

The Premier League team is reportedly interested in Crystal Palace’s Ebere Eze, while Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher is still being pursued for a deeper midfield position.
