To fix Manchester United’s biggest problem, Erik ten Hag will have to break his golden rule.

In recent weeks, Erik ten Hag, the manager of Man United, has talked a lot about how important it is to rotate players often. But if he wants to see results quickly, he might have to slow down this plan.

More and more, Erik ten Hag is set to be in charge of Manchester United’s game against Brentford next Saturday at Old Trafford.

Tuesday, United’s executive group met in London, and the club hasn’t said anything since. Those who are close to Ten Hag are thought to want him to stay in charge for now.

That’s why Ten Hag will go ahead with his plans as usual for the Brentford visit. It’s already important enough that the Bees’ visit has been made into a must-win.

If they don’t win, more people will call for Ten Hag to be fired. Between now and the November international break, United has seven games. This could be Ten Hag’s last chance to show that he is the right person for the job.

Unfortunately for United, they need goals if they want to keep winning games. Their biggest problem this season so far has been scoring. With only five goals in seven league games, this is clear.

Because Rasmus Hojlund wasn’t available at the beginning of the season, Joshua Zirkzee needed some time to get used to the team, and their wingers have been on and off, Ten Hag hasn’t been able to count on a stable forward line so far.

Because Hojlund started his second game of the season against Aston Villa, he is now in a good situation to take the No. 9 spot and hopefully get back to playing his best. Others, though, are still arguing about which two wingers should play on either side of him.

Ten Hag’s approach of rotating his starting eleven is a big reason why United hasn’t had a stable lineup this season. In the starting lineup, Marcus Rashford has started 10 times, Amad has started seven times, and Alejandro Garnacho has started just five times.

After missing most of preseason because of foreign duties in the summer, Garnacho had to play catch-up at the start of the season. However, he has directly contributed to seven goals, more than any other player on the team.

This season, Alejandro Garnacho has scored four goals.

Amad is more comfortable on the right wing, while Rashford is at his best on the left. He can play from either guard position. So that Garnacho can play, a lot of fans have said Rashford should be fired.

Plus, before last month’s 1-1 draw with FC Twente, Ten Hag said that Garnacho is better on the left side than the right. That night, he started Rashford instead of Garnacho.

“We have to think about Alejandro Garnacho, who is best from the left as well and has so much end product,” he pointed out. “I think when you list all the games so far, it’s Garnacho who has the most goals and assists for us so far, so that’s also a consideration every time we have to make.”

While Amad only scored one goal and set up another, he played much better than that. His first thought when he gets the ball is to get United up the field, which shows how hard he works for the team and the fans.

It’s safe to say that he is now United’s top right winger after making a lot of progress in the last few months. There is still a chance of getting a new contract deal.
