People think Manchester United will finally be able to sign Harry Kane, a player they’ve been after for a long time, now that Tottenham Hotspur has been taken out of the way by Bayern Munich.

Kane could still be on Erik ten Hag’s list of options when he looks for a new goal maker for Manchester United this summer to help Rasmus Hojlund.

The Dutchman really wanted to get him last summer, but United quickly ended talks because Daniel Levy, the owner of Spurs, wouldn’t sell to a straight competitor.

Ten Hag began looking for a player for the future, which is what led to Hojlund’s crazy £72 million move from Atalanta.

The 21-year-old has scored more goals than any other shooter for the club this season, which isn’t fair.

Anthony Martial, United’s only other natural striker, has been hurt again and will be able to leave for free when his deal ends in June.

This means that a new striker will probably join the team in the summer of Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s first season as manager of football at Old Trafford.

It might be appealing to have a skilled frontman who can push Hojlund and give him important advice. It’s not likely that someone else in the same age range as the Denmark international will come along.

This season, Kane is shockingly at risk of continuing his prize drought at Bayern, as Bayern Leverkusen is on track to win a historic Bundesliga title.

But he has done well on his own, hitting 33 goals in as many games for Bayern and helping them beat United in the Champions League group stage.

The England captain is only 47 goals behind Alan Shearer for the most goals scored in the history of the Premier League. This is why his choice to move to Germany surprised people. It has left the door open for a comeback, though.

Even though a return after only one season is unlikely, West Ham United coach Kevin Nolan is sure that United will finally sign Kane in the future.
