Everton
The Premier League will decide what to do with Craig Pawson after the Everton vs. Newcastle incident.
This happened during Everton’s most recent Premier League game against Newcastle. Referee Craig Pawson has since been punished.
Sean Dyche probably wasn’t happy with Craig Pawson’s call against Newcastle last time out, because Everton thought Pawson should have given them a penalty, which could have helped them win all three points.
When VAR released the tape, you could hear why they didn’t give Dominic Calvert-Lewin a penalty. However, Everton fans didn’t really change their minds.
However, VAR didn’t say that Dan Burn didn’t touch the ball during the incident, which caused some confusion on social media.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin was so shocked that it wasn’t a penalty that he came out after the game.
It’s interesting to see that the Premier League seems to have taken the scandals into account when making their choice about Craig Pawson for matchday eight.
The Premier League makes a choice about Craig Pawson after the Dominic Calvert-Lewin incident.
One of the better known referees is Craig Pawson, but he hasn’t always had a good time with Everton.
It’s interesting that Neil Warnock famously said that Pawson was out to get Everton, and fans are starting to believe him.
Besides that, he missed a clear second yellow card for Ibrahima Konate in the Merseyside match last year.
The Premier League has now made their announcements for the eighth matchday, and there is one player who is not there.
Craig Pawson has not been chosen to judge any of the games, but he is the fourth official for the games between Chelsea and Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham.
What Craig Pawson did for Everton
As was already said, Craig Pawson has a long past with Everton.
The Toffees have a bad record with Pawson in charge. In the 27 games he has overseen, they have only won five, tied seven, and lost fifteen.
Of course, you’d hope that a judge never has a grudge against a certain team, and we’re not saying that there is one. However, some of the calls made against Everton have been questionable.
If Everton had scored the penalty, they could have gained three points. Let’s hope that doesn’t come back to haunt them if they’re in a fight to stay in the league at the end of the season.
