The next league game, which happened on the same day that Manchester United beat Brentford, got Erik ten Hag a huge boost.

Erik ten Hag will be hoping that his team can finally win a string of games after a rough start to the season after Manchester United’s win over Brentford.

It was painful to read that they had only won three of their last eleven games before this win against Brentford. Things were so bad that this win still puts them in the bottom half of the table.

Now, almost every game is a must-win, and it started with Brentford. It needs to keep going in Europe against Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce before a tough trip to West Ham United.

The game at the London Stadium is a tough one, especially since it comes just two days after a trip to Turkey to play Mourinho, who would love the chance to beat Manchester United.

A big game in front of home fans is sometimes all it takes to get a player going again. Julen Lopetegui’s team hasn’t been playing well at all.

But West Ham’s hopes took a big hit, and Erik ten Hag’s team got a huge boost on the same day they beat Brentford.

Good news comes to Erik ten Hag.

There are only two possible reasons for the “huge boost” before the game: either a player on the team has recovered from an illness and is available again, or a player on the other team is not available.

Ten Hag will talk about United’s injuries at his news conference before the Fenerbahce game, but not much will have changed.

Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia are being treated with great care, Mason Mount is still missing more often than not, and Kobbie Mainoo will miss seven games.

Since Leny Yoro won’t be able to play until at least the next international break, West Ham United might be losing a key player.

Actually, Mohammed Kudus got a red card for going crazy during their league game on Saturday against Tottenham.

In the past, Kudus has scored against United, and his job as a shadow striker targets United’s weakest spot: the defensive midfield.

His three-game ban, which starts with the home game against Manchester United, couldn’t have come at a better time for Ten Hag’s team. They now have one less big thing to worry about.

After the game, Lopetegui criticized Kudus and other Hammers players for giving up. The latest loss puts them in 15th place in the Premier League table.

There is no better time to deal with a problem that is usually very hard.

Man United intends for Mohammed Kudus to not be there.

Kudus hasn’t had a great start to the season—he’s only scored twice in eight league games—but defenders have a terrible time dealing with him when he’s in those pockets behind the striker.

Antony Martin is a journalist at Hammers News and a West Ham United fan. United in Focus talked to him to find out how Kudus’ departure can help United and, most importantly, if it is really a big miss at all.

Martin said, “It’s a huge loss to lose Kudus, but he hasn’t been close to his best this season.” So it will be interesting. West Ham fans really want Summerville to start, though.

“I believe that Crysencio Summerville will take his place on the left wing; I’m pretty sure of that.” Moving Paqueta to the left side and bringing Carlos Soler into the middle of the field is the only other choice.

Because Kudus has mostly been playing on the left wing, Summerville will likely face Diogo Dalot, who did well in a different role in the second half against Brentford.

Kudus is more of a shadow striker than a standard winger, so Dalot will have to work hard to defend against him and take control of the game to hold him back.

The central midfielders and defenders can help Dalot press high and force mistakes by overloading the middle, but they will need to be aware of Summerville’s speed on transitions.

Ten Hag’s team will face a very different kind of task without Kudus, but it’s impossible to say whether that challenge is harder or easier because Kudus hasn’t been at his best lately, but he’s still a big name who has a history with United.
