The major reason why three (3) Manchester United players were on the bench during Brentford vs Man United Draw match
Ten Hag didn’t make any changes to United’s team from when they beat Liverpool 4–3 in the FA Cup two weeks ago for their game against Brentford. Three experienced players who had been hurt in the past week but are now healthy were all sitting on the bench. When Kobbie Mainoo got better from being sick during the week, he was still allowed to play.
Erik ten Hag said Jessica Martinez, Casemiro, and Harry Maguire could not play today against Brentford because they were not fully prepared for the game.
Prior to the game, Ten Hag told MUTV that Martínez, Casemiro, and Maguire need to get into a flow before they can play for United.
“They’ve been hurt, but they’re back to normal now, but not quite.” “They need to play more games and catch up on training,” he said. Some of our players can play in the back or in the middle of the field. The front is a little thin, in my opinion.
Mainoo, he said, “He’s done great for England, but now we have to go back to club football, which is something he’s never done before.” Although the game is about the team, he is a good player who adds something extra.
United played their last game at the Gtech Community Stadium in August 2022. It was Ten Hag’s second game as manager, and United lost 4-0.
The March international break kept them from playing since beating Liverpool two weeks ago, but they are in pretty good shape going into the game.
