The call to Jarrad Branthwaite by Sean Dyche shocks the Everton players.

TalkSPORT says that Sean Dyche shocked the Everton players by leaving a fit Jarrad Branthwaite out of the team to play Southampton.

Alex Crook wrote on the outlet’s website on November 5 that he thought it was strange that the boss kept the star center back among the substitutes for the 1-0 loss on November 2.

Branthwaite, 22, missed the beginning of the season while he healed from surgery on his thigh in the summer. Everton lost their first five games and didn’t get a win until September 28, when he came back for the team’s first win, a 2-1 win over Crystal Palace.

After that, he hurt his thigh in training and had to be replaced by Michael Keane. However, the young player has been on the bench for the last two games since he was able to play again.

Fans at Everton were shocked when Michael Keane started against Southampton.

As much as Everton fans want them to win, the players will know that keeping the team’s best player on the bench when he’s healthy will help them do that less.

Even though Keane, 31, gets a lot of criticism, some of it is fair, he probably wouldn’t have thought he would stay in the XI once Branthwaite came back.

In his Liverpool Echo piece on November 4, Michael Ball criticized the choice to leave out the England international. He said that Dyche may have lost faith in his players because of these kinds of decisions.

With new owner Dan Friedkin, the manager is basically trying to keep his job past the end of the season. Losing to the worst team in the Premier League without picking one of your biggest stars doesn’t seem like a good way to do that.

Although Keane played a big role in the 2-0 win at Ipswich on October 19, he may have won the right to keep his spot for the next game.

After that disappointing 1-1 draw at home to Fulham, where Beto’s goal in the 94th minute saved them from a terrible loss at Goodison Park, most people thought Dyche would put together his best team to take advantage of the struggling Saints.

Although the Everton manager has done some good things and kept the club in the Premier League despite some tough times, he sometimes can’t help himself when fans don’t love him.

Maintaining Branthwaite despite Manchester United’s desire was a major theme of the summer, but there wasn’t much point if he was just going to sit on the bench when the team needed him.
