Fans joke that Snoop Dogg should be the official mascot for the Olympics because he seems to be the biggest fan of the games.

The rapper who sang “Drop It Like It’s Hot” has been a regular at the 2024 Olympics. Last night, when fans saw him in the stands, he was the centre of attention again. It was seen that the 52-year-old artist was sat next to A’ja Wilson, an American basketball star, as they watched the men’s basketball quarterfinals on Tuesday night.

As part of his Olympic gear, Snoop was seen enthusiastically cheering during the Brazil vs. USA match on the eleventh day of the games. The singer of “Gin and Juice” was seen at the game wearing a loose white t-shirt with the official Olympics logo on the front and American flag-patterned sleeves to show his support.

Someone at the Olympics on Tuesday night talked about Snoop’s appearance at the game and how excited people are about it. Celebrity Nine spoke to a fan who said, “When I walked into the building today with Snoop Dogg, everyone had their phones out, trying to get a picture of him.” The fan also said, “How exciting his life must be.” He’s at the Olympics in every place.

Now, even though Snoop seems to really enjoy the games, he has to work because NBC hired him to cover this year’s Olympics. Henry McNamara, a venture capitalist, says that the rapper is getting paid a huge $500,000 a day to get people excited about the yearly sports events.

He said in a post on X (formerly Twitter) that he heard an NBC executive talk about Snoop’s pay. He wrote, “At dinner with an NBC executive, I learnt that Snoop gets paid $500,000 a day plus expenses to be here promoting the Olympics.” What a world! From Gin and Juice to a few million dollars to be famous at the Olympics.

Snoop has been getting a lot of attention on social media since the games started because he was carrying the Olympic torch. An enormous cheer went up for Snoop as he performed his famous “Crip Walk” and metaphorically passed the torch to the next person. Since then, fans have loved the rap legend’s pranks at the games, where he was seen busting moves with athletes, making funny comments, and going out in strange clothes.
