Sir Jim Ratcliffe must expel Man Utd flop who earns 10x times more than Branthwaite

The Premier League athlete is ranked joint-second-highest in earnings.

Under the direction of Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS, Manchester United is poised to experience an exceptionally hectic summer.

As they strive to elevate the club’s standing, not only on but also off the field, a multitude of modifications are anticipated.

Ratcliffe is particularly concerned with player salaries, as there are some individuals who earn significantly more than they have demonstrated on the field.

Even more so, one earns seven times the salary of Alejandro Garnacho.

Manchester United supporters regarded Casemiro as a savior at the start of the 2022/23 season, as the club had been without a genuine defensive midfielder for years.

The Brazilian made his way to Old Trafford following a Champions League triumph for Real Madrid, an achievement that established him as a premier player at the time.

The £70 million acquisition of the then-30-year-old during the course of the season was instrumental in United’s EFL Cup victory and third-place finish in the Premier League.

The number 18 made 51 appearances for the Red Devils across all competitions during his rookie season, accumulating seven goals and six assists in an impressive start to life in Manchester.

Notwithstanding his emergence as a pivotal member in his inaugural season with the club, his most recent campaign adorned with the Red Devil logo has not precisely transpired as intended.

Casemiro began the season as the starting defensive midfielder, but an injury toward the end of the year sidelined him for seventeen matches.

It is safe to say that he failed to perform at his previous level upon his return, leaving United vulnerable with his lack of athleticism; football analyst Liam Canning even called him “embarrassing.”

Once more, he received severe criticism towards the conclusion of the season; Canning referred to him as a “joke” this time around, and it’s safe to say that his performances have fallen short of his exorbitant salary.

Unsurprisingly, the Brazil international earns the most at Manchester United, with a staggering £350,000 per week (approximately £18.2 million per season, excluding bonuses).

Casemiro earns a salary that is seven times greater than Garnacho’s weekly income of £50,000. Despite contributing significantly more to the team this season with ten goals and five assists in fifty matches, Garnacho’s wage is only £50,000.

In addition, his exorbitant salary ranks him among the highest-earning players in the Premier League, surpassing only Kevin De Bruyne in terms of earnings. In context, that is an astounding £315k per week, which is ten times greater than that of Jarrad Branthwaite.

United has shown considerable interest in the Everton defender in recent months, and he continues to be a firm target for the Red Devils as the summer season approaches.

It should come as no surprise that United are eager to sell the declining midfielder this summer, as Goal Brazil reports they will be seeking to recoup approximately £30 million.

His time at the pinnacle of football has passed, as evidenced by the fact that the clubs interested are from Saudi Arabia rather than Europe. Should United fail to sell him this summer, he will earn an extraordinary £36 million in wages alone prior to the expiration of his contract.

Consequently, it is evident that Casemiro’s future does not lie at Old Trafford, and any prospective transfer could also assist Ratcliffe and Company in financing the aforementioned transfer for Branthwaite.
