Tottenham may be forced to release a number of players this summer, as Ange Postecoglou prepares to begin his second season in north London.

As Ange Postecoglou readies Tottenham to consider offers for eleven first-team players, including Richarlison and Emerson Royal, in advance of a significant squad overhaul this summer.

Postecoglou secured a spot in the Europa League by guiding Spurs to a fifth-place finish in his debut season after joining the club from Celtic in June 2023. They were at one stage on track to qualify for the Champions League after a strong start to the season, but a decline in performance during the second half of the year caused them to finish outside the top four, four points behind Aston Villa, Liverpool, Manchester City, and Arsenal.

Postecoglou, desiring to return to the premier club competition in Europe, is devising a massive reorganization of his senior squad, including the sale of a number of players. Tottenham let go of eight players, including Harry Kane and Harry Winks, either on loan or in a permanent deal, and that number may increase once more this summer.

The Evening Standard reports that Spurs are considering the sale of Richarlison as part of their merciless overhaul. Notwithstanding his adamant refusal to depart from England, this has transpired, as the forward refuted rumors that he is in negotiations with other clubs and maintained that he has never expressed discontent in north London.

Spurs are willing to sell Richarlison for the right price, two years after acquiring him from Everton for £60 million. With twelve goals and four assists in thirty-one appearances during the previous season, he has garnered the attention of multiple Saudi Pro League clubs.

The sale of Emerson Royal, who has garnered attention from AC Milan and several Saudi Arabian clubs, is also being considered by Spurs. During a meeting with Milan officials this week, his counsel deliberated on more than just the right-back. This season, the Brazilian has started only eleven Premier League matches.

Giovani Lo Celso and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg are both approaching the final year of their contracts and, like Bryan Gil, may be prepared to move on. Joe Rodon, Djed Spence, Sergio Reguilon, Tanguy Ndombele, and Japhet Tanganga, who are on loan, are undesirables according to Postecoglou and are therefore transferable.

Despite a challenging debut season for Tottenham, Manor Soloman is expected to be considered for a transfer, whereas Ryan Sessegnon is nearing the end of his contract and is anticipated to depart after a season marred by injuries.

Spurs would be unlikely to contemplate selling either midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur or Yves Bissouma, according to Postecoglou, unless Spurs received an enormous offer. Spurs have already strengthened their roster with the additions of Lucas Bergvall and Timo Werner, who has returned on loan for an additional season.
