Manchester City was once again the most viewed team in the world last season.

After maintaining their status as the most-watched team in the world, Manchester City is attempting to achieve a hat-trick.

According to Nielsen, a media research company, City’s matches were viewed by a total of 694 million individuals across all competitions last season. This included the team’s three trophies, their loss in the FA Cup final to United, and their heartbreak in the quarterfinals of the Champions League against Real Madrid.

City’s participation in five tournaments contributed to their table-topping figures, which were the second most-watched team in the Premier League behind Liverpool, but they were more viewed overall.

This figure is reminiscent of the audience they attracted when they won the Treble in the 2022/23 campaign. Nevertheless, they were able to retain their title by outpacing European titans, as they also observed a rise in audience size in numerous regions worldwide.

In a campaign that will include an extended Champions League, City will endeavour to achieve greater success this season. They will be informed of their opponents in the new group stage on Thursday. The early rounds will be more exciting with eight games instead of six and a single gigantic league table that includes all 36 teams. The fixtures will be announced on Saturday.

At the conclusion of the season, the Club World Cup is held in the United States over a four-week period. The Blues are the current reigning champions, having defeated Fluminense at the end of 2023. This has been expanded to a 32-game tournament, and additional information is anticipated in the near future.
