SHOCKING: Man United owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe may be considering selling club following a recent development.
Keith Wyness, the former CEO of Everton, has asserted that Sir Jim Ratcliffe may consider selling French club OGC Nice after becoming “consumed” by Man United.
The 66-year-old, who previously served as CEO at Goodison Park from 2004 to 2009 and currently operates a football consultancy that provides guidance to elite clubs, expressed that his tenure as the head of the Ligue 1 team was a “beneficial learning experience” in the world of football during the latest episode of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast.
Individual who is fond of sports In 2017, Ratcliffe acquired Lausanne-Sport, a Swiss club, and subsequently executed a buyout at Nice in 2019.
His INEOS company has since assumed control of Man United’s football affairs after acquiring a 27.7% stake in the club in February.
Ratcliffe has since implemented significant changes at Old Trafford, including the implementation of a new executive hierarchy and the severance of 250 members of the club’s staff.
Wyness asserted that the billionaire’s “bandwidth has a limit” and that it could result in him selling Nice.
He stated on the Insider Track podcast of Football Insider: “The Todibo situation is the type of situation that will likely result in him selling Nice and moving to Man United.”
