SHOCKING: Kevin De Bruyne could be one of four stars who could leave Man City in the summer window

Manchester City, the Premier League champions, are poised to enter another summer transfer window. However, the next few months could be crucial, as several of their players may be considering departures.

It would appear that Manchester City’s squad requires minimal improvement this summer, following their fourth consecutive Premier League title.

However, with numerous high-profile players potentially poised to depart this summer, City and its manager, Pep Guardiola, will supervise the continued development of the world’s most exceptional squad in what is anticipated to be his final season in command.

Kevin De Bruyne, a playmaker who is considered one of the finest players in the history of Manchester City, has acknowledged that he would be enticed by the large sums of money that are offered to players who participate in the Saudi Pro League.

De Bruyne, who will be 33 in a few weeks, was sidelined for the first five months of the previous season due to a severe hamstring injury. He may decide to depart the Etihad after nine illustrious years, during which he has established himself as a club and Premier League legend.

City is also considering Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala and RB Leipzig’s Dani Olmo as potential replacements for De Bruyne, who has a £100 million release clause. Specifically, Newcastle’s Bruno Guimaraes is the most probable candidate.

After seven years at City, City custodian Ederson has also been associated with a potential transfer to Saudi Arabia. Certain high-ranking officials at the Etihad are persuaded that the Brazilian is eager to depart this summer.

The departure of Ederson may not be as significant at City, as backup keeper Stefan Ortega has recently inked a contract extension and has demonstrated his value with 20 appearances last season. Additionally, Ortega has impressed when called upon.

Jack Grealish and Bernardo Silva are two additional prominent figures who may be migrating from City. The latter has been associated with a departure every summer, albeit for lifestyle rather than football-related reasons. Nevertheless, the club is expected to exert significant effort to retain him, given his enduring value to Guardiola’s team.

Barcelona and Paris St. Germain are still interested in the 29-year-old Silva, but a rumoured £50m release clause in the contract extension he inked last year could complicate matters.

Grealish is an entirely distinct instance. In the previous season, he was a critical component of City’s Treble-winning season. However, injuries, poor form, and a lack of focus resulted in his exclusion from Guardiola’s squad, ultimately costing him his spot in England’s Euro 2024 squad.

City would be wise to recuperate half of the £100m they paid Aston Villa for Grealish in 2021 for the 28-year-old, in whom Guardiola lost faith last season. City would undoubtedly be allured by an offer in the vicinity of £50 million for the former England winger, despite publicly advocating for Grealish to reestablish the form that rendered him untouchable the previous season.

The impact of new signing Jeremy Doku on Grealish’s position on the left, who surpassed him in the City pecking order, was further exacerbated by his poor form and enforced absences due to injury.

City may pursue a new right winger in response to Doku’s success on the left last season. Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise and Wolves’ Pedro Neto are potential targets, although the former is also being pursued by Manchester United, Chelsea, and Arsenal.
