Serie A giants Juventus’ supporters urge McKennie to embrace Premier League club’s offer
Although Weston McKennie has not yet reached an agreement with Aston Villa, Juventus supporters are encouraging him to “accept” the offer in order to facilitate the arrival of Douglas Luiz.
Sky Sport Italia reported on Tuesday that a maxi-swap deal between Juventus and Aston Villa, which involved Douglas Luiz, Samuel-Iling Junior, and McKennie, has been placed on hold due to McKennie’s refusal to accept the English club’s offer.
The most recent update appears to have caused a significant amount of dissatisfaction among Juventus supporters, who are now urging McKennie to accept Aston Villa’s proposal through social media.
Hundreds of Bianconeri supporters have commented on the most recent video the American midfielder posted on Instagram, urging him to sanction the transfer. Their comments are not always polite.
There are numerous comments from Italian fans that are comparable to those found on X, which was previously known as Twitter.
As per various sources, including Tuttosport and Fabrizio Romano, the issue in the negotiation is not between Aston Villa and McKennie, but rather between the midfielder and Juventus regarding the exit conditions. The Serie A giants have declined to extend McKennie’s stay by offering him a compensation increase, as his contract in Turin is set to expire in June 2025.
