‘Salary is scary’ – Club a little frightened about signing Liverpool player
Considering that Thiago Alcantara’s contract with Liverpool expires at the end of June, it is highly probable that he will no longer be with the Reds.
The 31-year-old has yet to make an appearance for Jurgen Klopp’s squad this season and endured a number of injury concerns throughout the previous campaign. Although the Spaniard’s skill has seldom been called into question, his recurring fitness concerns are a significant deterrent to a renewal.
Other clubs might be more optimistic; Inter Milan, according to Tutto, Juve, is interested, and Juventus is reportedly “keeping an eye on things.”
Inter Milan considers the player’s remuneration to be “terrifying,” whereas Juventus considers the corresponding figures “impracticable.”
Notwithstanding this position, it is evident that Thiago will be unable to demand the same level of compensation he is receiving at Liverpool if he wishes to remain in European football.
Once more, fitness concerns render a transfer elsewhere in the Premier League improbable, and the salary cap would presumably be an even greater concern for the majority of Spanish clubs than it is for Inter Milan.
Therefore, despite their current pessimism, leading Italian clubs may be able to contend unless Thiago desires Saudi Arabia or a comparable rivalry.
