REVEALED: Manchester City ready to sell off sensational pair following Kevin De Bruyne news – Stefan Borson reveals

Manchester City would be amenable to selling a portion of their most prominent players to Saudi Arabian clubs this summer, provided that their asking prices are satisfied.

That is the perspective of Stefan Borson, a former financial advisor for Manchester City, who exclusively disclosed this information to Football Insider. The Premier League champions would be seeking a “substantial fee” to transfer Kevin De Bruyne, while Ederson appears to be interested in a move to the Middle Eastern country.

According to reports, Al-Nassr is willing to provide Ederson with a weekly salary of up to £600,000, which is three times his current compensation at the Etihad.

Additionally, it has been reported that De Bruyne has “verbally agreed” to personal terms with Al-Ittihad prior to the expiration of his contract with Manchester City in June 2025.

The pair have been consistent contributors to Pep Guardiola’s squad during his tenure at the Etihad, and they have collectively appeared in 714 matches for the club.

Borson is of the opinion that Manchester City would transfer Ederson and De Bruyne at a fair price before attempting to reassemble their squad in the wake of their fourth consecutive Premier League title.

He stated to Football Insider, “City demonstrated last summer that they are willing to sell and continue with the squad rebuild if they receive the appropriate price” through the sale of Mahrez.

“The outcome will be contingent upon the City’s ability to secure the fees they desire.”

However, it appears that Ederson is quite enthusiastic about the prospect of making a transfer.

“There are also rumours that an offer has been made for Kevin De Bruyne, which would be a significant development.”

“City would likely request a substantial fee; however, his contract expires in one year.”
