REVEALED: Man City ace receives a whooping sum of £38m per year deal from Saudi Arabian giants

Saudi Arabian officials have proposed an annual remuneration of £38 million to Ederson, Manchester City’s first-choice custodian.

In a season that saw Ederson succumb to a number of injuries through in-game clashes, the Brazilian international has been widely linked with a surprising Etihad Stadium exit since the conclusion of the last campaign.

Stefan Ortega was granted more opportunities to impress in a Manchester City shirt than he would have anticipated at the beginning of the campaign, appearing in matches against the likes of Liverpool, Real Madrid, and Chelsea across competitions as a direct consequence.

Stefan Ortega may have been encouraged by a recent proposal from the Middle East, as he has been largely faultless in all of his appearances and is determined to unseat Ederson at the Etihad Stadium. This could have given him confidence that his opportunity is only a matter of weeks away.

Ederson, the Etihad Stadium’s top custodian, has recently received a financial offer from Saudi Arabia that is estimated to be worth £740,000 per week, according to Manchester City insider ‘Tolmie’s Hairdoo’ on X.

In response to apprehensions regarding Ederson’s future, Manchester City have been associated with numerous goalkeepers in recent months, either as a possible replacement for the current number one in Pep Guardiola’s squad or as a backup.

The Premier League champions were rumoured to be interested in AC Milan’s Mike Maignan, and reports from Portugal indicated that Manchester City had been monitoring the performances of FC Porto’s Diogo Costa.

In other news, Manchester City briefly expressed interest in Werder Bremen’s shot-stopper Michael Zetterer as a potential backup target. However, the German has elected to remain with his current employers in the Bundesliga.
