REVEALED: Bayern Munich sensation fancied to sign for Manchester United

Basel Munich central defender Dayot Upamecano has been linked with a summer transfer to Manchester United, as reported by L’Equipe, a French publication.

After three seasons at the club, the France international has been a vital player for the Bavarian giants, but he is reportedly considering a new cycle.

He is reportedly quite well-liked by prominent European clubs, especially in England, where Manchester United is seeking a new central defender this summer, according to L’Equipe.

However, a departure might not be uncomplicated. It has been explicitly stated by Bayern that he is a target for new manager Vincent Kompany, and the club would rather liquidate either Kim Min-jae or Matthijs de Ligt.

United should avoid Upamecano on account of his propensity for error.
Center-back of strong ball-playing ability, aged 25. Last season, he completed 67 passes per league contest with an average accuracy of 93%.

In addition, the ace, valued at £38 million, won 57% of his duels and recorded 1.4 tackles, 2.1 clearances, and 6.2 ball recoveries per appearance.

Notwithstanding his merits, we remain unconvinced of him on account of his propensity for making mistakes.

Last season, Upamecano conceded two penalties. One of the three defensive errors he committed resulted in a shot being taken, which struck the back of the net.

Given the heightened intensity of the Premier League, Upamecano appears to be unprepared for the intense press.

It would be unwise for the Red Devils to contemplate making an offer for the former RB Leipzig player, whom they were unable to acquire when he was 17 years old.

The same ought to be true for Min-jae, who struggled during his first season with Bayern following his transfer from Napoli.

United would be well-advised to acquire De Ligt this summer, but we do not believe the Dutchman will be traded prior to Min-jae and Upamecano.
