Liverpool
Report: Liverpool is in negotiations to sign a £73 million duo.
Andre Trindade has been extensively linked with Liverpool for quite some time, but he is not the only Fluminense player that Anfield is monitoring.
Reports from the media suggest that Liverpool have also initiated negotiations to acquire Matheus Reis from the Brazilian club, in addition to Andre.
News: Liverpool is reportedly considering signing an attacker for £160,000 per week.
According to Calcio Mercato, the Merseysiders inquired about the terms with Fluminense in order to sign the 16-year-old striker during the negotiations for Andre.
The adolescent sensation is also the attention of European champions Manchester City, Arsenal, and Chelsea.
Since his début with the Under-17 Brazilian national team in March of this year, Reis has contributed to the South Americans’ total with one goal in two appearances.
The fact that elite organizations from England and Spain are vying for his services is unmistakable evidence of his talent.
In order to acquire both Andre and Reis, Liverpool could potentially be required to expend an estimated sum of £73 million.
Recent reports indicate that the defensive midfielder could be acquired for £30 million during the January transfer window.
Conversely, Reis’s present agreement with Fluminense includes a release clause worth £43 million (equivalent to 50 million euros), which, according to Calcio Mercato, does not faze the “English super powers.”
At this time, Liverpool’s forwards consist of quality players such as Nunez, Jota, and Gakpo; therefore, the club does not require to spend £43 million on another striker. What is your opinion?
