Everton
Regarding the Everton takeover, Asmir Begovic answers a question about Dan Friedkin.
It was said by Asmir Begovic that the Everton players don’t know anything about Dan Friedkin’s takeover at Goodison.
The American investor agreed to buy Farhad Moshiri’s majority stake in the Toffees last month [Fabrizio Romano, September 23]. A move may be getting closer, even though the club hasn’t said much about it.
Begovic told the Liverpool Echo on October 17 that he is only focused on the field and not the office. This means that both the players and the fans don’t know what’s going on.
“I think it’s about bringing the best interests and stability to the football club, no matter where the owner comes from,” he said. “Hopefully, this will all work out for the best.”
As players, we don’t know much about the specifics and are only concerned with our part. We hope that everything goes smoothly for everyone.
Dan Friedkin and Asmir Begovic both got into Everton.
The ownership problem at Goodison just won’t go away. The American owner of Roma is in the driver’s seat to take over, but neither he nor the club have said much in recent weeks and months.
Some people (Chris Beesley) say that a deal is still on track, but fans could be forgiven for getting more worried as this story goes on.
The latest news from Begovic, who doesn’t know much about what’s going on in Merseyside, probably won’t make these people feel better.
The players aren’t necessarily interested, and it doesn’t look like they’re getting any information from TFG or Farhad Moshiri. They’re just waiting for news like fans are.
Still, November as a possible date for the takeover seems like a stretch, given how little we know and how often we hear about it.
Begovic, his partners, and fans will just have to wait for Friedkin and the Toffees to give them more information.
