Red Devils star Jaap Stam gives him advice on which club to leave Old Trafford for.
Marcus Rashford, a forward for Manchester United, has been told by Jaap Stam that he needs to join a club “who make him play better football.”
Only two of Erik ten Hag’s team’s first seven Premier League games have ended in wins. They are off to a terrible start.
Man Utd is currently 14th in the Premier League table, having scored five goals and earned only eight points.
In recent weeks, Ten Hag has been under a lot of pressure, but the Dutch manager has made some strange choices. For example, Rashford wasn’t in the team to play Crystal Palace in the Premier League, even though the England player had scored three goals in the previous two games.
This season, Rashford has still been bad overall, and he is one of the Manchester United players who has gotten the most abuse.
It was asked what a “nice club” for the Manchester United forward would be like to join. Stam replied on the Weijland & Stam show for Viaplay, “Rashford needs a club with players who make him play better football.”
“You can tell that he’s held in high regard by looking at him right now. Sadly, he can’t do that right now.
“An important thing is that it also depends on him.” Comparing what he did a few years ago to what he is doing now… He needs to ask himself that question while looking in the mirror. How can I change things to help me and the team do better? He’s also not asking for help enough.
Fleurent Malouda, a former winger for Chelsea, named Rashford as the Premier League player he thought would do better this season.
Malouda told Coin Poker, “At Manchester United, I thought Marcus Rashford would do better.” Rashford has shown flashes of his skill. I remember watching him play for England and in the Champions League, and there were times when he looked impossible to beat. But at Manchester United, we haven’t seen enough of that. We all know he can do more, and I want him to get back to that level.
“I have no idea what is stopping Rashford.” He always seems like a great player who is having trouble getting back to his best. I don’t know if it’s a mental block. His form being all over the place doesn’t seem to have anything to do with his happiness.
As a fan, I want Rashford to become a player that Manchester United can count on and be consistent throughout a game.
“Why hasn’t Rashford normally played as well as we know he can?” Erik ten Hag seems to have done everything he can to make him shine, which makes the question hard to answer.
“I believe Marcus needs to start having fun with football.” His accuracy will get better when he plays with fun. The stress that comes with being an important player for a big team like Manchester United should make him happy. Being consistent at a high level means dealing with stress and loving the game, since you will always be up against something new.
