DOWNTOWN – The Detroit Red Wings will host the New Jersey Devils at Little Caesars Arena on Friday afternoon. Lucas Raymond will try to tie an NHL career high by scoring goals in five straight games.

At 3:00 p.m., the puck will drop between Detroit (10-10-2; 22 points) and New Jersey (15-8-2; 32 points). The game will be shown on FanDuel Sports Network Detroit and the Red Wings Radio Network (97.1 The Ticket in Detroit). When these two teams played each other for the first time this season, on Oct. 24, the Red Wings beat the Devils 5–3.

The Red Wings are back at home for three games and are looking to build on their 2-1 overtime win over the Calgary Flames on Wednesday. Alex DeBrincat scored a power-play goal early in the first period to give the Red Wings a 1-0 lead. Raymond scored the game-winning goal with the extra time advantage to help the team win its third straight game.

Derek Lalonde, head coach of the Detroit Red Wings, said, “I really wanted the shutout [on Wednesday]. That’s how we’ve been playing hockey lately.” “We got into too many trouble.” It was too much to handle. It only took a short time…What a full game, though, from beginning to end. When we pushed early in the third quarter, we were at the top of our game. It was a good game.

Goalie Cam Talbot said that the Red Wings’ “D-zone has been unbelievable as of late.” He made 24 saves against the Flames.

They have given up two goals or less in each of their last four games. The team is 9-1-0 overall this season when giving up no more than two goals per game.

Tarasenko said, “The guys have been blocking the middle well, making the other team give up the puck when it comes into our zone.” “I think that number of goals against will go down even more once we get the penalty kill in better shape.”

During this season, Talbot has also played very well in goal. The experienced goalie has a 6-4-2 record in 13 games with Detroit, giving up 2.47 goals per game and one shutout. His save percentage is.923.

Lalonde said of Talbot, “He’s been huge for us.” Talbot is one NHL game away from the 500th game mark. “He also brought a lot to our room.”

New Jersey is currently ranked second in the Metropolitan Division. In its most recent game, on Wednesday, it lost 3-0 to the St. Louis Blues and couldn’t get anything past their goalie, Jordan Binnington.

Three Devils players have already scored 20 points this season. Jesper Bratt (10-18–28) has the most, followed by Jack Hughes (8-17-25) and captain Nico Hischier (13-11-24). This season, netminder Jacob Markstrom has played in 17 games and has a 10-6-1 record with a 2.54 GAA,.904 SV%, and one shutout.

Lalonde said, “Just a really good win on Wednesday.” “Have a good Thanksgiving, and then try to keep the good mood going on Friday.”
