Pundit: PSG’s Star Deserves Euro 2024 Player of the Tournament More Than Man City Spectacular Player
On Sunday at Olympiastadion, Spain emerged victorious in the UEFA Euro 2024 final, defeating England by a score of 2-1. The award for the finest player of the tournament was given to Rodri by Manchester City following the contest. However, a pundit contends that the honour should have been given to a player from Paris Saint-Germain.
Fabián Ruiz, a PSG midfielder, scored two goals and recorded two assists in all six matches as a starter for Spain. Furthermore, Ruiz recorded a 91 percent pass completion percentage, 65.2 passes per game, and 1.7 vital passes per game.
These figures demonstrated the exceptional tournament that the 28-year-old had for La Roja. Consequently, English pundit Jamie Carragher stated on platform X that Ruiz should have been awarded the player of the game over Rodri.
“Ruiz was superior in this tournament,” Carragher stated.
It will be intriguing to observe Ruiz’s future, as PSG may consider selling the player at a high price following his performance at Euro 2024. However, there is also a possibility that the Parisians retain the player and witness a new iteration of Ruiz in the upcoming season.
