PSG is said to be contemplating a sensational raid on Manchester United, but the French giants may have to give up one of their precious assets to secure their top targets from Old Trafford.

PSG may be about to make up for losing Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid by staging a sensational attack on Manchester United.

According to reports, the French giants are looking to replace Mbappe with Bruno Fernandes, Jadon Sancho, and perhaps Marcus Rashford.

According to L’Equipe, the United captain has emerged as a genuine target this summer, with speculations circulating that Sancho has agreed to personal terms and that the Ligue 1 club will revive their interest in Rashford.

Any transfer ambush on United would put Luis Enrique’s PSG club in a solid position to challenge for the domestic league and the Champions League next season.

However, if PSG wants to sign the United trio, they may have to transfer midfielder Manuel Ugarte the other way. There has been speculation that the Uruguayan midfielder will become United’s third signing of the summer, but after signings Joshua Zrikzee from Bologna and Lenny Yoro from Lille, their transfer pot may be empty, implying that a sensational swap deal for Ugarte in exchange for a United star could be in the works.

To raise funds for Ugarte, who is valued at roughly £59 million by PSG, United are open to bids for Victor Lindelof, Casemiro, and Scott McTominay, as well as extra change for Aaron Wan-Bissaka. Nonetheless, a move for the 23-year-old Uruguayan international could become easier if United agrees to sell one of their top players to PSG in what would undoubtedly be one of the most significant trades in recent memory.

However, Enrique’s epic renovation may have to continue without Rashford, who is allegedly willing to fight for his spot at United. However, the deals for Fernandes and Sancho could be more realistic, and it was back in May that the Red Devils skipper sent shivers down the spines of many a United fan by saying: “The club needs to want me”.

On his future, Fernandes reiterated his position, saying: “I believe the club wants me to be a part of the future. As I have always stated, I do not want to be a player that the club does not want to have. If they don’t want me, I’ll leave. “If they want me, I’ll stay.”

According to L’Equipe, the French giants’really admire’ Fernandes’ talents as they seek to fill the massive gap left by Mbappe. However, United manager Ten Hag has made it clear that he wants his captain to stay at Old Trafford, describing him as a “tremendously important player”.

Sancho, who returned to United after spending the second part of last season on loan at Borussia Dortmund, is a key target for PSG, and the deal may be nearing completion. After impressing for the Germans during his second spell with last season’s Champions League finalists, there have been reports that Sancho may be given a shot at Old Trafford after reconciling with Erik ten Hag following their public feud.

The 24-year-old earned his first United game in nearly a year last weekend, appearing in a friendly triumph against Rangers, but the opportunity to be the main man at PSG may be too tempting for the winger to turn down. PSG’s current interest in Rashford comes from talkSPORT, which reports that the French champions have made the 26-year-old their priority.

Enqrique’s side is thought to have long admired the forward, but with Rashford’s magnificent contract at United rumoured to be over £325,000 per week, PSG may face a huge financial stumbling block if they try to secure the move. For a team already stacked with talents, the possibility of acquiring the United captain alone, let alone two more players, is enticing for PSG fans.

The French champions currently have Italian shot-stopper Gianluigi Donnarumma, Brazilian veteran Marquinhos, young talent Warren Zaire-Emery, and renowned full-back Achraf Hakimi on their roster, so the arrivals of the three United players would undoubtedly make PSG a feared proposition across the continent next season.

PSG’s ideal team for the upcoming season includes Donnarumma, Nunes, Beraldo, Marquinhos, Hakimi, Zaïre-Emery, Vitinha, Fernandes, Sancho, Dembele, and Rashford.
