Predicted Manchester City Lineup vs Liverpool – Latest Injury report and player to miss the EPL match

Pep Guardiola wouldn’t say for sure if Jeremy Doku would be able to play on Sunday when Manchester City goes to Liverpool in the Premier League.

The champions go to Anfield on Sunday, only one point behind the Reds, who are in first place in the table going into the weekend.

City was already hurt, even though they beat Copenhagen 3-1 in the last 16 of the Champions League. Now, both Matheus Nunes and Doku are doubtful to play Liverpool.

Nunes was taken off the field on Wednesday night because of what looked like a painful finger injury. The severity of the injury has not yet been confirmed.

Doku wasn’t with City when they won, and Guardiola said after the game that “muscular problems” meant he wasn’t risked.

Their lineup against the Danes was changed so that Phil Foden, Kyle Walker, Kevin De Bruyne, John Stones, Nathan Ake, and Bernardo Silva could get some rest.

All of them could come back on Sunday, though Doku and Jack Grealish are both expected to be out until after the international break. This leaves the left wing open for debate. Mateo Kovacic or Julian Alvarez could start in the middle due to Silva or Foden being moved around. Oscar Bobb would be a risky pick for such a big game.

Josko Gvardiol just got back from an illness, which makes me wonder if the Croatian, Ake, or Manuel Akanji will start at left back, where they will most likely face Mohamed Salah.

At his press meeting on Friday, Guardiola will tell fans about the latest news about City’s team.

The team that Man City is expected to play is: Ederson; Walker, Stones, Dias, Ake; Rodri, De Bruyne; Silva, Alvarez, Foden; Haaland.

Questions: Nunes, Doku

Grealish is hurt.
