Old Kentucky player still getting love from Big Blue Nation at new school
While he was a Kentucky Wildcat, Lance Ware was a fan favorite, and Big Blue Nation was glad to get him back in 2020. He played for three years at Kentucky and scored 140 points and grabbed 171 boards. He was a strong big man and a force down low every year. Big Blue Nation loved how hard he worked, how physically he played, and how good he was at defense.
He moved to Villanova two years ago to play for the less cool Wildcats. After one season, he went to UT Arlington, where he is playing this year. Fans in Kentucky haven’t forgotten about him and are still following his game. Earlier this week, he was named “WAC Newcomer of the Week,” which is a big deal. But that’s not where BBN comes in; it’s in the UT Arlington post.
A lot of people don’t connect with UT Arlington’s social media profile. They might get a few likes and retweets, but that’s about it. Over 500 people liked this post, and more than 50 people commented on it. What are the things you want to say? You must already know what it is; Big Blue Nation is showing love. In the comments, posts like “We love you Lance #BBN” and “Always a Cat!” are mostly from Kentucky fans. “Lance, I’m proud of you!” and a lot more.
Fans in Kentucky haven’t forgotten about Ware and will always back him, no matter where he goes. There are a lot of fan favorites like this, which shows that Big Blue Nation is a unique group of fans.
To find out what got him this award, look at his stats from his last two games for the Mavericks. He played almost 40 minutes in both of them and filled up the stat sheet. Ware had 17 points, six rebounds, two assists, three blocks, and two steals in the win over UL Monroe. He scored 11 points, grabbed seven rebounds, gave out two assists, blocked four shots, and stole two balls in the loss to Arkansas State. Fans in Kentucky knew he would do well with his hustle, and he has.
