Newcastle set to let £120,000 per week sensational player leave the club in this transfer window

Journalist Ben Jacobs has informed GIVEMESPORT that Newcastle United will not obstruct Kieran Trippier from departing the club in the final hours of the transfer window if an opportunity arises and the player is enthusiastic about the potential move.

Trippier was instrumental in the Magpies’ ascent to the top four during the 2022/23 season, appearing in 46 games across all competitions. Nevertheless, the England international’s performance declined during the previous campaign, and he has not been included in the starting lineup for either of the first two Premier League games this season under Eddie Howe.

There were reports that Everton had initiated negotiations with Newcastle regarding the possibility of signing Trippier, who may be drawn to the opportunity to become a prominent figure at Goodison Park. Jacobs has disclosed that the Tynesiders’ hierarchy would be prepared to facilitate the transfer of the player if a suitable offer were received from the Toffees.

The initial marquee acquisition under Newcastle’s new Saudi ownership was Trippier, who arrived from Atlético Madrid in January 2022 for £12 million. Deployed as a critical component of Howe’s team’s ball progression from right-back, the former Tottenham player has been a consistent presence in the Toon’s resurgence as a premier team.

The 33-year-old may now decide to seek out a new club where he can secure consistent playing time, as he has made 93 appearances over the course of two and a half seasons. The youthful full-back, Tino Livramento, was acquired from Southampton last summer with the intention of replacing Trippier in Howe’s squad. He appears to have succeeded in this mission by starting the first two league games of the current season.

Emil Krafth remains on Newcastle’s roster and is capable of serving as a replacement for Livramento. Newcastle could sell Trippier now, rather than losing him for free in 12 months when his contract expires, as this renders him somewhat redundant within Howe’s ensemble.

Jacobs has confirmed to GIVEMESPORT that an exit is conceivable in the near future and that the club’s administrators would assist the Englishman in relocating if that is his desire.

“I believe Newcastle will be extremely respectful towards Trippier if the appropriate opportunity arises. I have always respected and somewhat enjoyed the manner in which he handled the January speculation, as he was not attempting to force his way out of the club.” He had a high level of respect for Newcastle.

“So now, if he asked for a move, should the right opportunity present itself, I think Newcastle will be very accommodating.”

In January, Trippier was indeed the subject of intense speculation regarding his potential departure from the club. Despite reports that Bayern Munich had received the player’s consent to pursue a transfer, nothing came to fruition.

Sean Dyche is reportedly eager to reunite with his former player, Trippier, whom he worked with at Burnley. Everton are the most probable suitors for Trippier. It was reported that the right-back’s departure from St. James Park was “50/50,” with the decision presumably contingent upon Everton’s potential offer.

After starting 39-year-old Ashley Young and 19-year-old Roman Dixon on the right side of their defence in each of their first two league games, the Merseysiders are in dire need of full-back reinforcements. Nevertheless, the financially distressed club may struggle to afford Trippier’s remuneration, as the England international is rumoured to earn £120,000 per week in the northeast.
