Morant’s Mysterious Message: Ja Morant Drops Cryptic post Amid Grizzlies Roster Shake Up

While the Memphis Grizzlies have been making roster moves this offseason, Ja Morant has witnessed teammates join and leave.

But Morant seems to have emotionally removed himself from his ball club’s players’ actions.

Not dipping his toes into the Grizzlies’ attempt to retool their squad, the two-time All-Star made it known in two tweets on Friday.

“popular loner fr,” Morant posted on X. He added, “so mentally & physically i stay far away.”

Even though they played together for five years in the Grizzlies backcourt, Desmond Bane will be miles apart from Morant when the 2025–26 season starts.

The Orlando Magic acquired Bane, Cole Anthony, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, and a slew of draft assets in a high-profile trade that broke the news early this offseason.

Luke Kennard, who was Morant’s backup point guard, also left after signing with the Atlanta Hawks in free agency.

The Grizzlies, meantime, have allegedly signed guard Ty Jerome to a three-year contract. Jerome previously played for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
