Milan face huge blow as the might lose super talented striker to Monza for free

Daniel Maldini is expected to depart Milan at the conclusion of his expired contract and sign a contract with Monza, where he has been on loan for the past six months. Gianluca Di Marzio has disclosed that he has concluded that he will not renew his contract with the Rossoneri and will instead transition to a Bosman deal.

The 21-year-old attacker had initiated the previous campaign at Empoli; however, he was unable to secure a consistent position as a result of his early injury absences. In January, he switched teams and significantly improved his season, netting four goals in 11 appearances.

The Milan academy was the place where Maldini, the son of Paolo and the grandson of Cesare, was raised. He was a member of the first team for a single season in 2021/2022. He appeared in 24 games and scored once. Subsequently, he relocated provisionally to Spezia, where he successfully identified the target twice in 18 tilts.

The agreement will allow Monza to maintain some continuity on offence, as they have lost Valentin Carboni and Alessio Zerbin, who were on loan from Inter and Napoli, respectively. Additionally, they may capitalise on Andrea Colpani. In the past few weeks, Olympique Marseille made headlines by acquiring the number 10 spot.

The entire situation may have been influenced by his father’s unceremonious departure; however, there is an inconsistency, as athletes with a one-year contract typically do not go on loan. It is possible that there is a sly agreement with the Rossoneri that will allow him to depart in exchange for something in the future, such as a resale clause.
