Micah Richards predicts the favorites between Arsenal and Man City to win the 2024/2025 Premier League title

Micah Richards has predicted that either Manchester City or Arsenal will be victorious in the Premier League standings at the conclusion of the 2024/25 season.

Last season, Arsenal came perilously close to winning the championship, but Pep Guardiola’s squad ultimately prevailed. With a two-point lead over Arsenal, City maintained their championship.

In the 2024–25 season, Mikel Arteta will be frantic to surpass his former employers to the championship, and Richards has now revealed his prediction.

Arsenal have finished second in the Premier League for two successive seasons.

In the 2022–23 season, they finished five points behind Manchester City. However, by the end of the following season, that deficit had been reduced to two.

This demonstrates Arteta’s squad’s significant growth, but the next objective for Arsenal is to win the Premier League championship.

As they have done for the better part of a decade, Manchester City will begin the upcoming season as the heavy favorites to claim the league.

They will face most of their title competition from Arsenal, as Liverpool is likely to undergo a year of transition and the other clubs have not yet reached sufficient quality.

Former Manchester City star Richards, Alan Shearer, Gary Lineker, and Alan Shearer all offered their assessments of Arsenal’s 2023/24 campaign, with the latter even disclosing his forecast for the future season.

“Next year, I believe they will win it, Arsenal,” Richards predicted on the Rest is Football podcast.

Shearer believes the Gunners have the potential to advance significantly if they execute their transfer window acquisitions effectively this summer.

During the 2023–24 season, Arsenal demonstrated their capability of competing against Guardiola’s Manchester City.

Three times against them, the Gunners emerged victorious each time. That demonstrated they are adequate, but City possess a squad depth that Arsenal lacks.

Guardiola may substitute players from his reserve, including Jack Grealish, Julian Alvarez, and Jeremy Doku, in an effort to alter the course of the game for his squad.

Although Arsenal does possess some talented players, they simply do not match the caliber of those warming up at the Etihad.

With any luck, Arteta and Edu will be able to increase the depth of Arsenal’s squad this summer, and the club will almost certainly contend for the Premier League championship in 2024/25.
