Since their disappointing conclusion to the 2024-25 season, the Memphis Grizzlies have been active during the offseason.
DraftKings’ win total for them for the 2025-26 season has been established at 40.5, which is indicative of the sportsbooks’ uncertainty regarding their actions in the immediate aftermath.
The actions they have implemented have not necessarily resulted in immediate improvement; however, they demonstrate potential for future seasons and the remainder of the current season.
They initiated each wave of offseason transactions by trading Desmond Bane to the Orlando Magic for the trade season.
Following this, they announced the renegotiation and extension of Jaren Jackson Jr.’s contract to commence NBA free agency.
Memphis will always be an intriguing team to watch as long as Ja Morant is on their roster. He has been a winner since being drafted by the team in 2019, so gamblers should keep that in mind when deciding to bet on the over or under for the Grizzlies’ win total for the upcoming season.
Always bet the over for the Memphis Grizzlies’ win total
While last season ended disappointingly for the Grizzlies, they still won more games than the over/under that was set for them. They finished the regular season with 48 wins, slightly over their set number of 47.5. This included a second-half collapse that saw them finish the regular season 12-16, after beginning with a 36-18 record through the NBA All-Star break.
Since 2010, the Grizzlies have been one of the top six NBA teams to win more than their set win total. In the Ja Morant era, which began in 2019, Memphis has won more than their set win total every season except the 2023-24 season.
A healthy Ja Morant would be a good bet to ensure that won’t be the case for the team. However, his health has been a big question for the team over the last couple of seasons, and the team has their starting frontcourt of Jaren Jackson Jr. and Zach Edey questionable to begin next season, following offseason surgeries.
Despite the obvious concerns for their health and roster, Memphis is always a good bet to place on the over as long as Ja Morant is around.
