Upon Joshua Zirkzee’s arrival from Bologna, the Reds have already verified their inaugural signing. The striker has signed a long-term contract with United that will keep him at Old Trafford until 2029. Leny Yoro is also expected to join him.

Erik ten Hag has been occupied with the evaluation of his squad during the initial weeks of preseason training. Nevertheless, certain members of the squad have not yet made an appearance, as they were granted prolonged breaks as a result of their participation in their respective countries’ Euro 2024 and Copa America tournaments.

United has until September 2 to finalise any additional agreements for new recruits. Over the past 24 hours, MEN Sport has examined several of the most recent rumours that have circulated on social media and across the internet.

United is being attributed with an interest in the acquisition of Brentford striker Ivan Toney. Despite the acquisition of Zirkzee from Bologna, The Athletic has reported that United could still enhance their striker options.

According to reports, United is considering recruiting Toney as a potential addition to their striker depth. United currently has Rasmus Hojlund and Zirkzee as centre-forward options, and the addition of Toney would intensify the competition for a starting position in the team.

In other news, Manchester United are still being associated with a potential acquisition of Manuel Ugarte, a midfielder for Paris Saint-Germain. United are reportedly contemplating a shift in their approach to the recruitment of Ugarte, as reported by Give Me Sport.

According to reports, United is currently contemplating whether or not to pursue a loan agreement with Ugarte in lieu of a permanent contract. Zirkzee has already been acquired by United, and they intend to incorporate additional new players into their roster this summer. The Reds would have additional budgetary flexibility to bring in new players by signing Ugarte on a loan.
