Harry Maguire was sent for a scan after being substituted early in England’s 1-0 loss to Brazil. This is more bad news for Manchester United and England.

Maguire is the second player to leave the national team this season. Kyle Walker of Manchester City left the game on Saturday with an injury.

Concern was raised when the key defender left during the second half, which led to a scan on Sunday.

Even though Gareth Southgate initially decided to take off Maguire and Ben Chilwell as a safety measure, the Manchester United star will not be able to play in England’s friendly against Belgium on Tuesday.

He has also gone back to his club, just like Walker. Southgate’s team has been hurt a lot lately.

The news will make United boss Erik ten Hag nervous, especially since they have some important games coming up, starting with a trip to Brentford on Saturday in the Premier League.

Maguire’s most recent game for club or country was ruined when he was taken off after only 67 minutes. It was his first start since February 24.

United’s defense is already having a hard time without guys like Luke Shaw, Lisandro Martinez, and Tyrell Malacia.

Recently, Maguire came back from a groin injury that kept him out for five games over the Christmas break.

Concerns have been raised about both Maguire and Walker, who could only play the first 20 minutes of the match.

After being replaced by Ezri Konsa from Aston Villa, the Man City right back had a scan because a calf problem was thought to be the cause.

Notable players who didn’t play in the 1-0 loss included Bukayo Saka, Jack Grealish, and Trent Alexander-Arnold. Harry Kane is now getting treatment at Bayern Munich for an ankle injury after watching the game from the stands.

Jordan Henderson and Cole Palmer, on the other hand, have been back in training since Saturday and could help England’s choices for their next game against Belgium.

England lost to Brazil, and Endrick scored the only goal of the game as a substitute.

Southgate wanted to make it clear that he was pleased with his team’s general performance, even though they lost on Saturday night, ending a 21-game win streak at Wembley.
