According to a report from the Telegraph, it is “unlikely” that Mauricio Pochettino, the former manager of Tottenham and Chelsea, will be the next manager of Manchester United.

The 52-year-old has been closely associated with a potential transfer to Old Trafford since his departure as Chelsea manager by mutual consent at the conclusion of the season.

The Argentine has previously been reported to be interested in a transfer to the Red Devils; however, the circumstances never converged for the former Tottenham Hotspur manager to assume the role at United.

Although Pochettino is now available for recruitment, reports indicate that it is doubtful that he will remain in England’s top tier with Manchester United, despite his desire to remain there.

Erik ten Hag, the twenty-times English champions’ manager, is currently under significant duress at the club due to a subpar campaign that resulted in an 8th-place finish in the Premier League. The new part-owners, Ineos, may be interested in bringing in a new face.

There have been numerous names mentioned as potential replacements for the ten Hags, including former Brighton manager Roberto de Zerbi and England manager Gareth Southgate. However, Thomas Tuchel has disqualified himself from a move to Manchester following a meeting with Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

The former manager of Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich, and Chelsea has elected to take a sabbatical rather than immediately returning to the role of manager.

Erik ten Hag will remain firmly seated on the edge of his seat for the time being, as the FA Cup final victory over local rivals Manchester City may have merely bought the Dutchman some time. Despite the fact that the club is evaluating their options, a decision regarding his future has not yet been made.

After winning the FA Cup final in May, the former Ajax manager stated, “Three finals and two trophies in two seasons.” That is acceptable. I will relocate to another location in order to acquire trophies if they no longer require my services. I engage in that activity.

This week, Erik ten Hag’s fate is expected to be determined, according to reports.
