It was Kobbie Mainoo’s turn to start again at Villa Park, but he has now quit the England team. This news came just hours after Alejandro Garnacho had to cancel his trip to play for Argentina.

At Old Trafford, they are being treated with players like Luke Shaw, Mason Mount, Leny Yoro, and Tyrell Malacia.

Here is a list of the most recent losses at Manchester United.

Alejandro Garnacho

Recently, Garnacho has been hurt, and he was taken off the field at halftime of last week’s tense Europa League tie with Porto after being put on the bench.

After that, he started and played all 90 minutes at Villa. On Monday, he was taken out of Argentina’s team for their World Cup qualifiers against Venezuela and Bolivia.

“I hurt my knee in the last two games, so I won’t be able to play for my country, but I hope to get better in time for the next game [in November against Paraguay and Peru].”

Garnacho is a key player for United. He has scored four goals and set up three others in 11 games across all categories this season.

Ten Hag said that the young player who used to play for Atletico Madrid had been sick lately when he was telling why he took Marcus Rashford off at halftime of last week’s crazy Europa League tie with Porto.

Kobbie Mainoo

In a sea of exits, Mainoo may be the one that stands out.

This was the midfielder’s first game back since hurting his hamstring against Tottenham. He missed the 3-3 draw at Porto because of it.

As of now, Mainoo has been replaced by Lee Carsley, who is the interim boss of England. He will not play in the Nations League games against Greece and Finland.

Noussair Mazraoui:

Mazraoui and Maguire were both surprise subs at halftime at Villa Park, but the problem looks bad enough that he can’t play for Morocco against England.

Ten Hag said after the 0-0 draw, “We had to take them off at halftime.” “We need to find out what the diagnosis is tomorrow.”

“We need to think about this. What’s wrong? I can’t tell you right now. That being said, I can’t say whether it’s good or bad at this time. We’ll look into this more tomorrow (Monday), and then we’ll let you know what we find.

Possible return date: Not known

Harry Maguire

You could see Maguire limping at the end of the first half against Villa. He needed help from the trainers to leave the field.

Matthijs de Ligt took over as center back, and Ten Hag doesn’t know how long he will be out.

Possible return date: Not known

Luke Shaw

Shaw hasn’t played for United yet this season, but he did play for England at Euro 2024.

But Ten Hag said last week that the left back might be able to come back after the international break.

He said, “We hope Luke can come back quickly after the international break.” “I don’t know if it’s the first game; we’re hoping for it, but I can’t say for sure right now.”

“But, yeah, we have two-and-a-half weeks to work until then.” He’ll be there soon after that.

Possible return date: October 19 against Brentford

Mason Mount

Mount hasn’t played for United in two games because he got into a head-to-head with Radu Dragusin during the 3-0 loss to Spurs and been taken off.

Ten Hag said that the player had hurt himself again, in addition to the head injury.

The United manager Ten Hag said before their 3-3 draw with Porto, “He hurt his head and got a knock, so he’s not available for tomorrow.”

Possible return date: October 19 against Brentford

Leny Yoro

Summer sign-up Yoro hasn’t played for United yet because he hurt his foot in preseason and had to have surgery.

Ten Hag said last month, “Yes, he is doing very well,” which means the 18-year-old should be back by the end of September.

“It’s great that his rehab is going in the right direction. I expect him soon, but by soon I mean that he is now in the right planning process.”

“He’s in the right place, and he’ll be back with the squad and then the team training as soon as possible.”

Possible return date: November 24 against Ipswich Town

Tyrell Malacia

It’s been more than a year since Malacia last played for United, but he’s almost ready to make a return.

Ten Hag said last week, “Tyrell is getting better on the field, but he needs to become a full member of the team.”
