Manchester United has finally found Casemiro replacement who is ten (10) times better than him
Manchester United have found a holding player in the Premier League that they could buy for £40 million this summer to replace Casemiro.
Reports say that Manchester United have seen Wolves’ Joao Gomes as a possible long-term replacement for Casemiro in their middle. Gomes joined from Flamengo in January of last year for £15 million, but he has been an important player at Molineux ever since.
Due to his good play in the Premier League, the 23-year-old was even called up to the Brazil senior team for the current international break. Gomes might play his first game for his country against England at Wembley.
It would be his prize for a great season that peaked when he scored twice in a 2-1 win at Tottenham last month. But that’s not what he usually does. In his home country, the playmaker is known as “The Pitbull.” This is because he is very good at defense and getting the ball.
The Daily Mirror also says that United is looking for a new holding player for the summer and has flagged Gomes as a possible choice. Casemiro could leave Old Trafford after two years because his performance has dropped so much this season. Moving to Saudi Arabia could be very profitable.
The 32-year-old Brazilian player who plays with Gomes has had more health problems than he did last year, when he was one of the best signings of the season. In his first season with United, he played 53 times and scored seven goals and set up seven others. He also scored a shot in the win over Newcastle in the Carabao Cup final.
He has played 21 times this season and still scored five goals and set up two more. However, he has been hurt a lot and isn’t protecting the back line as well as he did in his first year in England. So, United is looking for a younger, more aggressive playmaker to pair with Kobbie Mainoo, who is getting better.
It is said that United have seen Gomes a few times this season, including in their recent win at Molineux over Fulham. Fans of the player say he could cost around £40 million. Spurs and Newcastle are also interested in him.
Wolves are apparently aware that more teams want to sign him and are already thinking about possible replacements in case they have to let Gomes go after only 18 months. Going with Gomes instead of Casemiro would fit with the plans of United’s new part owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
He has made it clear that he wants United to sign players who can become world-class stars instead of spending a lot of money on stars who are already famous. This is pretty much what they did with Casemiro, who cost £70 million and has only been a short-term success in Manchester.
United has also looked at Pedro Neto, a winger for Wolves, who could be a replacement for Antony. Another forward they like is Michael Olise of Crystal Palace. In recent years, though, both Neto and Olise have had trouble with accidents.
United might also change its forward line in the summer, when PSG looks at Marcus Rashford and Antony, who cost £85 million and didn’t do much, is set to leave. Anthony Martial is going to leave the club when his deal is up.
Ratcliffe said this week, “I’d rather find the next Mbappe than try to buy success for a lot of money.” Getting Mbappe isn’t really that smart, is it? That one was easy for everyone to figure out. Not as easy is it to find the next Mbappe, Jude Bellingham, or Roy Keane.
“Getting a few great players for a lot of money isn’t the answer. That’s what they’ve done for ten years. We need to make sure we do a good job of recruiting. Finding new players is such an important part of running a football club.
