Manchester United and Bayern Munich enter the race to sign sensational Bayer Leverkusen player

Manchester United is expected to present a challenge to Bayern Munich in their pursuit of Jonathan Tah from Bayer Leverkusen.

Although an agreement with Bayer Leverkusen does not appear to be in sight, Jonathan Tah has long been Bayern Munich’s primary target for central defence. Manchester United have now seemed to enter the competition for the 28-year-old player, who is eager to join Bayern Munich.

Sky Sport is reporting this, and the report also indicates that the Premier League team inquired about Tah a few days ago.

Manchester United are also interested in acquiring Matthijs de Ligt from Bayern Munich; however, they have not yet submitted an official proposal for the Dutch international. Bayern is seeking approximately 50 million euros in addition to bonuses in exchange for the transfer of de Ligt. Additionally, the sale of the 24-year-old would enable them to pursue a move for Tah.

Bayern will endeavour to negotiate an agreement with Bayer Leverkusen in the forthcoming weeks, as Jonathan Tah’s current contract is scheduled to expire at the conclusion of the forthcoming season. This summer, the Bavarians are prepared to spend approximately 20-25 million euros on Tah.

After an exceptional season with Bayer Leverkusen, Tah was instrumental in the team’s Bundesliga title victory. He has already reached an accord on personal terms with Bayern Munich and is currently seeking a new challenge.

Tah is expected to assume the role of the defensive captain for FC Bayern in the forthcoming season. However, Manchester United’s competition could potentially complicate the situation.
