Manchester City latest injury news after Aston Villa match

While their Premier League title foes deal with new injury worries, Manchester City had a great night at Etihad Stadium against Aston Villa.

Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland were both rested by Pep Guardiola as his Manchester City team beat Aston Villa 4-1.

Rodri gave the defending champions the lead, but Phil Foden scored a great hat-trick to put them ahead. However, they were briefly worried when Jhon Duran cancelled out the City midfielder’s first goal. John Stones was again not used as a replacement for City because Guardiola clearly didn’t think he needed to use the England player.

Nathan Ake, Kyle Walker, and Ederson stayed out with injuries. City has done well without them so far, but Guardiola will be hoping they can get back as soon as possible. Apart from the Premier League title race, Jurgen Klopp and Mikel Arteta are also having to deal with illness in their teams, Arsenal and Liverpool.

Even though Bukayo Saka was in training, he wasn’t at Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Luton. Mikel Arteta explained why he wasn’t there.

And in other news, Diogo Jota, Allison, and Trent Alexander-Arnold are still out for Jurgen Klopp. Another important player is now a chance after getting hurt against Brighton last weekend. Because of this, MEN Sport has looked at what’s new in the treatment room.

Injuries at Arsenal
In the past few weeks, Mikel Arteta has been lucky with injuries. However, that stopped last weekend when Saka hobbled off against Manchester City. The 22-year-old wasn’t one of the players who played against Luton Town on Wednesday night, and Arteta gave a report on his health.
