Recent reports indicate that Manchester City is interested in signing Reece James, which, as fantastical as it may sound, makes a great deal of logic for all parties involved.

In order to acquire Sam Curtis, Manchester City must defeat Manchester United and several other opponents.

TEAMtalk, which has also expressed interest in the St. Patrick’s Athletic defender on behalf of Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur, and Aston Villa, reports this.

TEAMtalk reports that during the January transfer window, Manchester City are interested in acquiring Sam Curtis from St. Patrick’s Athletic.

According to the report, City, which finished last season undefeated in the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, and FA Cup, have already initiated negotiations to acquire Curtis.

According to reports, the Citizens intend to pursue the 17-year-old right-back in January.

Nevertheless, City are not the sole club expressing interest in the teenager. According to TEAMtalk, Manchester United is also reportedly discussing the possibility of acquiring the right-back.

Middlesbrough, Everton, Newcastle United, Aston Villa, Tottenham Hotspur, Sheffield United, and Hull City are all interested in Curtis.

Reportedly, Manchester City is seeking a youthful right-back to replace Kyle Walker on a permanent basis.

Additionally, Sam Curtis might be that player.

City is reportedly considering signing Reece James from Chelsea. The Citizens view him as a viable long-term substitute for the 33-year-old Walker.

However, according to 90min, the 23-year-old is undecided about his desire to depart Chelsea. Curtis, in my opinion, will not share the same enthusiasm regarding a possible transfer to City.

City is one of the largest organizations in the world, and Pep Guardiola is regarded as one of the greatest managers of all time. Curtis, in my opinion, would promptly seize the opportunity to relocate to the Citizens.

Notably, the right-back draws inspiration for his game from Reece James.

In September 2023, Curtis stated to The Irish Independent, “I adore Reece James for Chelsea.”

“My game is predicated on him, but obviously I aspire to be the inaugural Sam Curtis and not the subsequent Reece James.”

“However, there are certain elements of his game that I endeavor to incorporate into my own. Obviously, I am immature. “I am committed to furthering my knowledge and, with any luck, improving with each passing game.”

In 2023, Curtis appeared in 34 games across the League of Ireland Premier Division. Three goals were tallied by the right-back in those contests.
