Manchester United have received a favourable update in their pursuit of Dani Olmo, a Spanish midfielder, and RB Leipzig.

Spain’s midfielder has been an exceptional performer at Euro 2024.

He has scored in all three of his team’s knockout games during their flawless voyage to the final two games in Germany.

He scored the game-winning goal against France in the semi-final on Tuesday.

Man United, Barcelona, and Bayern Munich have all expressed interest in the three goals scored by the RB Leipzig player in La Roja’s knockout phases.

Ben Jacobs, a journalist, has reported that Manchester City has disregarded the possibility of acquiring the Spanish midfielder, and Chelsea is also not contemplating a proposal for the currently performing player.

This has paved the way for Man United to pursue him and bring him to Old Trafford.

Nevertheless, the Red Devils are in competition with Barcelona and Bayern Munich, who are interested in signing the player this summer.

Barca, the Spanish titans, have engaged in discussions with the German club regarding the possibility of signing Olmo this summer. However, their primary objective remains the acquisition of Nico Williams from Athletic Bilbao.

This presents Man United with the opportunity to acquire the player and incorporate him into the new era at Old Trafford under Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

Olmo has suggested that he may depart the Red Bull Arena after three and a half years in pursuit of a new challenge abroad.

He is most comfortable playing as a No. 10, behind the striker. However, his ability to play on both flanks will be a significant asset to any team that acquires him.

Olmo, who is now 26 years old, has appeared in 148 matches for the Bundesliga club and scored 29 goals since transitioning from Dinamo Zagreb to RB Leipzig in 2020.

His innovative and creative nature can be advantageous to Manchester United in the final third, where they have frequently encountered difficulty in generating concepts.
