Manchester City
Man City has provided a thrilling insight into their new addition, and their miraculous goal has prompted comparisons to Sergio Aguero
Claudio Echeverri, who is now on loan from Manchester City to River Plate, scored an incredible goal by channeling his inner Sergio Aguero. River Plate is responsible for the goal.
If you are going to score your first goal in your professional career, you might as well make it a meaningful one.
Claudio Echeverri, who had just been signed by Manchester City, had a lot of work to do when he took up the ball outside the area for River Plate on Monday. A drop of the shoulder, however, allowed him to get past one of the defenders and into the box. After that, a change in pace allowed him to get closer to the byline and get past another defender. After that, there was the ferocious shot that was taken from a close range and hit the roof of the goal, followed by the celebration that went in the opposite direction.
The near post strike that goes high into the roof of the net would be considered a classic of the type of goal that Sergio Aguero developed, and if he were to score that goal, it would be irrefutable. After witnessing Echeverri’s maiden goal for River, Aguero re-posted the video on X with an emoji of sunglasses, so expressing his approval of the finish. Fans of City will be excited by the possibility that he may begin to start scoring goals and have an impact on games, just like Julian Alvarez did while he was back on loan at River.

A midfielder named Echeverri, who is 18 years old, signed with City in January for an initial fee of £12.5 million, with add-ons. His return to River for a year was comparable to the agreement that Alvarez signed with River in January 2022, after which he was loaned back to River for a period of six months before returning to Argentina.
During the time when the transfer to City was being negotiated, Echeverri enraged River fans by confirming in an interview that he would not be signing a new contract in favor of joining with the Blues. However, he did speak to media following his goal in River’s Copa de la Liga comeback victory over Gimnasia overnight. Since then, he has not granted an interview.
In December, after River’s victory in the Champions Trophy, Echeverri used a post-match interview to make the following statement: “My representative spoke with the president, many things were said about him not answering the calls, and they were always in contact.” Although I will not be renewing my membership, I will remain for either one year or six months.
