Football Insider has been informed by sources that Manchester City will not consider any proposals for striker Julian Alvarez, despite the speculation regarding his future.

Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, and Atletico Madrid have all been frequently associated with the possibility of acquiring the World Cup champion.

Nevertheless, it is widely believed that City will not require additional funding during the summer transfer window.

A well-placed source has informed Football Insider that the 24-year-old is highly unlikely to depart, and Pep Guardiola’s team will not contemplate offers for Alvarez this summer.

Just over a year ago, the forward penned a new contract with City, which will keep him at the club until June 2028.

In the 2023-24 campaign, Alvarez started in 39 of the 54 appearances he made for Pep Guardiola’s team across all competitions.

He made a significant contribution to City’s victory in the Premier League, scoring 19 goals and assisting on 13 occasions.

The 30-cap Argentina international was a consistent member of Guardiola’s lineup during the absences of Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland, but he was omitted from the squad when they were fully healthy.

Alvarez is a member of Lionel Scaloni’s roster for the Copa America this summer, where he has the potential to further his impressive trophy collection.

In January 2022, City acquired River Plate for a reported fee of £14 million. Since then, he has secured two Premier League titles, one FA Cup, and a Champions League trophy with the club.
