Reportedly, Chelsea are nearing a deal to acquire Tosin Adarabioyo, who has been linked to Manchester United.

The 26-year-old is expected to be acquired by the Blues as their initial summer acquisition under new manager Enzo Maresca. After declining a contract extension, Adarabioyo, who spent four seasons at Fulham, will depart Craven Cottage at the conclusion of this month.

United was rumored to have expressed interest in the defender following the confirmation of Raphael Varane’s departure. It was also reported that Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur were interested in completing the transfer.

Instead, it seems he will be en route to Stamford Bridge. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea have emerged as the clear frontrunners to secure his signature, and contract negotiations are reportedly nearing completion.
